INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING FOR YOUTH (13+) AND ADULTS

I specialize in working with people:

who find that life is overwhelming their ability to cope and they're at the end of their rope...

who find their relationships are crumbling...

            who feel like giving up...

who have a huge decision to make...

            who feel like they've failed...

who cannot regulate their emotions or thoughts....

who are trying to figure out who they are...

who feel like the world has turned against them...

who don't know how to carry the grief that life has handed them.

I will meet you with compassion, wisdom, and curiosity.  We will start from the place that feels like too much and we will build skills, uncover strengths, gain insight, and set goals for your next steps so that you can do more than survive, but find new life and hope, even in the midst of life's greatest challenges.

PARENT CONSULTATION

Much of parenting is learning to navigate change. As a therapist who specializes in walking with individuals and families through significant and challenging life transitions, I've learned that supporting parents can transform entire families.  If you’re a parent and you’re not sure whether you or your child could benefit from regular therapy, I am available for parent consultations.  These 50-minute sessions can help you–the expert on your family–talk through the challenges you or your family are facing, collaborate on possible solutions, and feel empowered as a parent to make the best decisions for your family.   My consultation model is outcome-focused and based on the principles of the CPS model (Dr. Ross Greene).  Consultations are not billable through health insurance (INN or OON) as we do not do include medical diagnosis as part of our work together.

PREMARITAL COUNSELING

For couples considering marriage or a long-term commitment, a 3-4 session sequence of premarital counseling can be helpful to gain insight, explore patterns and expectations, and learn skills that will strengthen and sustain your relationship.
